Lots of heart and humor in this wonderful memoir. Though there are plenty of laughs, there is also poignancy and self-reflection that anyone can relate to. I really loved Ardens mother, JJ. What an original! Funny, tough and so supportive of her children. I read this book straight through and enjoyed every minute. Highly recommended, especially in this wacky world.

Audiobook Little Miss Little Compton: A Memoir by Arden Myrin Debby Ryan
If you aren’t already an Arden Myrin fan when you start the book you will be by the time you end it! Though I came for the behind the scenes look at Hollywood and the stand-up comedy world (and she certainly gives a unique glimpse into both) it was her insightful takes on life, grief, and family that I ended up enjoying the most. A book that is truly uplifting and inspiring at a time when we need just that.

Audio Little Miss Little Compton: A Memoir narrated by Arden Myrin
I read this book in one afternoon while I had some much needed break from work. It was so funny and interesting to learn more about the author, who I’ve known of from her career in comedy and improv. Arden is so smart, funny and genuinely nice. The stories of the quirky life growing up in small town Rhode Island, and the stories of her career in acting and comedy are interesting and laugh out loud funny. However, since life is not all blueberries and paper airplanes, there are some stories in there which help you see a way to work through really sad times. Overall such a fun and uplifting book to read!

I love Arden’s exuberant presence on TV and podcasts, and her unique voice shines through in her bright and breezy prose. I knew this book would be full of funny stories, but I was delighted to find that it was also a surprisingly personal reflection on grief, loss, and how to let your light shine. I’ve been struggling with figuring out how to mourn some loss in my life, and I’m grateful for Arden’s perspective on her experience with this. Don’t worry, the book is 95% quirkiness and Hollywood stories and 0% a bummer! Just buy it and read it, you’ll see!
