So this is a typical OP character who takes an unusual combination of abilities and does more with it than all other players. Personally, I love these kinds of LitRPG stories, hence the 4 stars. I will not be continuing with the series, however, as there is there is so much pointless profanity (even from the narrator). The F word is used as adjective, noun, and interjection. Where a lesser term is the usual one, the author will use the F. All characters use the same language equally. Its not every sentence of dialogue but it is every page sometimes. Thankfully when characters are in sensitive moments the average goes down. Too distracting when there are many more LitRPGs out there.

This story was well written. Had a decent cast as well a very upbeat pace. I liked the storyline as well of troubled gentlemen trying to do right and improve his lot in life. The only weakness to me was the four class system.

Audiobook Master of None by Shane Walker
The author tries a bit too hard to give the MC a personality and he comes across as very two-dimensional, making it impossible to care whether he succeeds or fails. The secondary characters are even more lightly sketched out and none of them are likable. Without any characters to root for, the book is tedious and I keep looking at my progress bar hoping I\’m about done.

Audio Master of None narrated by Nick Podehl
Probably my biggest complaint about every LitRPG tale I read is that it manages to dehumanize the characters. This tale does that at a pace that is a bit astonishing. The MC is particularly poorly defined, with his motives and history hinted at, but never really revealed. This left some of his actions rather mysterious, but also rather maddening. The other characters showed even less personality, partly because the MC worked solo so much of the time. It is an interesting concept and I did like the tale overall, but I find that as I write this review I\’m going to damn it with faint praise and a litany of the flaws. I think those who enjoy the genre will enjoy this book, but others should probably stay away.
