Its hard to hid the fact that Im a huge fan of Miranda Kenneally. Since reading Catching Jordan in 2012 I have been hooked on her books. There is something so refreshing and fun about her stories. So when Four Days of You and Me was announced I was beyond excited. I loved the idea of two teens going through 4 years of high school and having something happen roughly the same time every May. It seems liked a fun idea and Miranda nailed it. Four Days of You and Me was exactly what I needed and when I needed it.

Four Days of You and Me is the story of Lulu and Alex. These two high school students start as rivals in their freshman year of high school. When they go on the school field trip they find themselves stuck together completely changing the course of their relationship. Over the next 4 years Lulu and Alex (and a handful of friends) navigate what it means to be a teen in a relationship and all the feelings and heartbreak that come with it. With every year and every May field trip Alex and Lulu deal with being together and being broken up and what comes with the in-between. In the end they have to figure out what is worth it and what isnt.

I loved Lulu and Alex so much. Even in their terrible teenage angst there was something special about them. They had a natural chemistry and genuinely had feelings for one another even if they didnt know how to deal with them. At times they were both immature and completely overwhelmed by teenage tendencies, but I loved them even with their imperfections. Even when they werent together they were their for each other and that was what I really loved about them. In the end they were just perfect together.

In the end, Four Days of You and Me was exactly what I expected to come from the mind of Kenneally. It was funny and charming and a fantastic story about teenage love and heartbreak. And it was completely worth the wait. Definitely pick this one up. Cant wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Four Days of You and Me is the perfect example of why timing is everything. Had I picked this up at any other time, I probably wouldn’t have gotten very far before setting it aside, not because it’s a bad book, but because I’m definitely not the target audience. Like a CW or Freeform teenage soap, this book was filled with drama, drama, drama. Omg, does my crush like me?…Sorry, I just really need to focus on getting a college scholarship right now instead of our relationship…I like him, but I’m not sure I’m ready to go all the way just yet. Catch my drift? But because this was exactly the type of mindless young adult romance I needed right now, I was totally immersed in this world and the lightness of it.

Audiobook Four Days of You and Me by Miranda Kenneally

~~~Review posted on The Heart of a Book Blogger~~~
Ive been a fan of Miranda Kenneally since I was in high school, so I was very excited to read her first book away from the Hundred Oaks series. Four Days of You and Me follows a couple through their four years of high school and all of the ups and downs that seem to culminate during the annual class trip. The multiple timelines were fun and I enjoyed seeing the characters grow up a little more each year. Its not my favorite of the authors books as I did feel a little disconnected from the couple due to the constantly changing timelines.
Audio Four Days of You and Me narrated by Sandra Michelle
Four Days of You and Me is a funny, sweet and heartfelt tale of enemies to lovers/second (3rd?!) chance romance.
Lulu and Alex’s relationship is quite the roller-coaster, and I loved watching it unfold. Miranda Kenneally sure knows how to put you through a ringer of emotions. From first love to first heartbreak to bad decisions to romantic moments- you can’t help but root for these two.
I liked how relatable it was that Lulu would sometimes struggle between her heart and brain, and watching her come into her own as the book goes along.
Neither of these characters are perfect. They mess up and they grow up. They hurt each other and are there to pick each other up when the world is unfair. They remind you that love is never simple, and sometimes you don’t get things right the first time around.
This book was the perfect distraction from all the craziness in the world. It made me smile and swoon, and I hope it would do the same for you!
Loved this book. The story advanced really well, and the writing was easy to read. The characters were fun without being too cheesy.
