Everyone needs to visit Whynot, North Carolina. That is where Darby McCulhane & her young daughter Linnie moved to after a very hard breakup from a man who doesnt want to let her go. She is thinking that starting over in Whynot is where she should be and given the opportunity to start over again that is what she is going to do.
Colt Mancinkus runs his family farm and he will do anything to improve the farm and secure his families future but the one person who might be standing in his way is Darby.
When Darby & Colt meet its under contentious circumstances but when they both see that they can truly help one another out he see how meeting Darby is going to change his life.
The two of them will have to overcome many obstacles but you cant help see that the chemistry between them is just perfect.
Linnie McCulhane is a very important factor in Colt & Darbys story but you wont be able to help yourself in seeing what a sweet little girl she is and Colt will do whatever it takes to keep these two ladies protected and loved no matter what it takes.

Pretty as a Peach is just plain cute. Poe makes Darby and Colt’s relationship a serious slow burn as to be expected with Darby still being a married woman. I have huge respect for them waiting. Huge!! Having a child in the mix doesn’t make it easier, but it makes the story have more depth and meaning. And by slow burn, I mean slow. There wasn’t that zing you feel with the rest of them. That desperate need to be with each other wasn’t there until the end.

While I loved the story as an addition to the first 3 books, I feel like this one was also missing the funnier side that the others had. Colt is just a more serious guy, I guess. It wasn’t until the last quarter of the book that I truly, truly could say I loved it. It took a disaster and a town meeting to get me all goose-bumpy and feely.

Overall a good addition to the series! I can’t wait to read get next one as Poe did an outstanding job of dropping Loche in and getting us all excited with that mystery man!

Audiobook Pretty as a Peach by Sawyer Bennett (writing as Juliette Poe)

Love this author, no matter what name she is publishing under.

Love this small town. Love this family. And absolutely cannot wait for the remaining sister’s story.

Very sweet with no heat. But instead of falling into the grabs and bangs of a modern sex romance, the story of Colt and Darby is a slow soft song that charms the heart and gives the mind time to remember how truly wonderful it is to discover a lasting love. Darby’s daughter, Linnie adds in the sass and spice. It would be really fun to see her grown-up with her own love song.

Open this book, prop up your feet, take a slow swallow of sweet southern tea and just Enjoy.

Audio Pretty as a Peach narrated by Alexander Cendese Savannah Peachwood

Pretty As A Peach is the 4th book in Juliette Poe’s Sex and Sweet Tea series. I enjoyed it just as much as the first three books. This book centers around Colt and Darby. Colt has farming in his blood and doing everything he can to keep the 8 generations family farm going. Enter Darby. She is soon to be divorced from her douche bag husband and has uprooted herself and 7 yr old daughter, Linnie, and moved to Whynot, NC to start a Peach orchard. They start out kinda like enemies but pretty quickly a friendship forms and turns into a sweet, slow burn. Let me add that Colt is completely swoon worthy! I highly recommend a this trip to Whynot!

First off there is NO SEX! I’m so saddened. This book would be on fire if there was.

Even after saying that this book was really good. It was smooth and comforting. I’m satisfied with the way it was written (minus the no sex). There is no drama. But it does have some “issues”. I absolutely love how Darby talks to Linnie (her daughter). The way she leads her around the difficult subjects is classic. I was fine until Linnie started crying. I lost it. I liked Colt. I liked Darby. They work.

This is one incredible read. I think I liked this one best. I’d highly recommend.
