I really liked the story and the information about what can happen in a situation like this. But and I hope you will understand where I’m coming from. I hate vulgar language. Particularly the f word and bodily referrals. It just seems so unnecessary even though it is so common in today’s world. So I won’t be reading anymore of your books. I’m sure that won’t matter to you but I’m just being honest. Wanda

THE MEMORY OF YOU wrapped itself around my heart from the very first word of the very first page. I couldn’t read the book quickly enough, yet, I didn’t want to read too swiftly for I didn’t want Steffi’s and Ryan’s story to end.

This book has all the feels and emotions to constitute a class five river rapids ride! Strong, believable characters enhance a story fraught with ups, downs, ins and outs. I laughed, cried, marvelled, sighed and hugged myself throughout this book. At the end, my smile was as wide as the Grand Canyon! THE MEMORY OF YOU left me with the most remarkable, satisfied feeling; I just flat out felt good!

THE MEMORY OF YOU now ranks among my top favorite books and will become enshrined on my “To Be Read Again” bookshelf. This book is well written and researched, and is one you will certainly want to read!

A standing ovation for Jamie Beck

Audiobook The Memory of You (Sanctuary Sound #1) by Jamie Beck

This book had a rape victim, a mass shooting victim, and a person fighting cancer. Add to that one of the women lost her mother to cancer as a teen and was raised by a cold father along with 3 cold brothers. The mass shooting victim lost her boyfriend to one of the 3 best friends ( which realistically no true friend would do). Plus an old boyfriend going thru a divorce with a cold narcissist. A daughter that is supposed to be 9 years old and yet most times comes across as more of a 6 year old. And I couldn’t even force myself to care about any of the characters. I’ll consider this book as a total waste of my time. And suggest you don’t waste your time.

Audio The Memory of You (Sanctuary Sound #1) narrated by Dara Rosenberg

The Memory of You is beautiful, heart warming, emotional, healing and much more then I expected. I loved this second chance read. Steffi is strong willed, independent and trying to heal not only from an attack but her past relationship from the one she let go. I love that she is such a tomboy and can fix just about anything. Ryan may have once been the one for Steffi but he’s returned home to heal from a bad marriage with his daughter in tow. You will love Ryan and maybe a little bit of his daughter Emmys bratty ways too. In The Memory of You, you get some meddling from Holly (Ryan’s mother) and Emmy too which I loved. Seeing the changes in Emmy once she gets to know Steffi is awesome. Grab some tissues because Ryan and Steffi have a long way to go and a lot of angst and very emotional issues to deal with. It is simply beautiful to watch these old flames grow close and ignite again. I’m so looking forward to more Sanctuary Sound books since book 1 blew me away.

This was one of those books that once I started I just kept reading until I was finished. Not only is it a story of young love that needed time and space to grow; but the story line is topical for today which made it all the more riveting. Steffi and Ryan were too young when they first met. Things happened, lives went on until they had another chance. Steffi battled her demons and Ryan had to overcome in inability to trust. Its well worth the read and I cant wait for the next in the series.
