Ive had this book on my kindle for awhile and I dont really know why I waited so long to read it, but to be honest, Im glad I did. I am not sure I wouldve appreciated this story as much reading it right after the first book. Sometimes when you have a sequel like this, they can be redundant and just a book with a lot of unnecessary drama.
I have a feeling that is what my feelings about this book wouldve been had I read this sooner. But since I didnt I actually loved this book. It was great being back in Jake and Trudys world. I will say Tru got on my nerves at times during this story…her insecurities were starting to get a little excessive. But Jake….now that is a man to love!! This man melted my heart and my kindle 😉
If you have read The Mighty Storm, then I would definitely recommend you read Wethering the Storm. Youll want to see the conclusion to Jake and Trudys world wind romance!!

WTS starts off where TMS left off. Jake has Tru back and he is not going to mess it up again. He knows what it’s like to love her, be inside her and be without her and one of those hurts like a bitch.
This is the story continuation of Tru & Jake’s story. She has moved to LA, she has said yes to marrying him and after 12 years of being apart they seem to have found their path to perfect. But the there are outside things that Tru never realized could affect her relationship. Jake’s past – the women that he lost himself in, the fame and the constant of being in the public eye. But one thing is certain. Jake loves his Trudy. It is the one thing he knows and the one thing he needs. There is not much about their story that can be said without giving away the pivotal moments so let’s just move on…
I loved that this was not full of angst and drama that usually accompanies any rockstar book. Jake and Tru have already been there and done that.
But this is not without some drama. But this time I was not finding myself biting my nails and all sorts of nervous. This had some very emotional moments when you get to a point in the story where Jake just about brings you to your knees. Samantha Towle did an outstanding job pulling emotions out of the pages of this story.
There was a little predictability with the story and it was full of sweet moments where you see a different side of Jake. For me this was a brilliant continuation of their story. I didn’t want to experience the drama – I wanted the moments of flutters in my stomach and soft sighs. And this delivered such a romantic image of Jake – it really brought through the point of just how much having her at his side meant.
Some may feel that this as a stand alone was lacking the angst, but for those of us who suffered through that in TMS; this just felt as close to perfect as it could get. I am looking forward to getting to know Tom a little better, I have to say he has never really appealed to me but I have a feeling that he might give Jake a run for his money.

Audiobook Wethering the Storm (The Storm #2) by Samantha Towle
Don’t listen to the negative reviews for this book. It was wonderful. I had read the first book a while back and decided to re read some of my favorites so I picked it up again. When I finished rereading it I decided to look for other books by this author and discovered she had written a part 2 to the Mighty Storm. I was pumped! Then I started reading the reviews and almost changed my mind. Some of the reviews said there was nothing but sex and not much story. What??? I thought there was a perfect blend of plot and sex. The sex is smoking hot but the story was one I couldn’t put down. My eyes are hurting because I wouldn’t rest them and kept reading til the end. This story was so beautiful and sexy. I loved it. The ending is wonderful. Don’t listen to negative reviews. These two books are awesome. The only negative that I can possible think of was not for this book but the first one when Tru couldn’t pick which guy to be with. Now I didn’t like that part. I thought she was a little too weak about it but that is it. This second book, no complaints. The story had me hooked and the love story was beyond beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Audio Wethering the Storm (The Storm #2) narrated by Justine Eyre
This book has been on my kindle for a good five years or so and it’s roughly been that same amount of time since I read TMS so it’s been a bit weird coming back to this couple after so long. I remembered certain bits of the first book but not a lot.
I liked this but it didn’t have the same intensity that I remembered from the first. I wasn’t screaming at my kindle for them to get together and stop being idiots because they’re an established, very happy couple. There was very little angst. It was all rather sedate but sex filled.
I am glad that pretty much everyone got their HAE though!

Just had my second fix of Jake and Tru. Why did I wait so freaking long to read this series, and I just saw ther is another book – woohoo can’t wait to get my teeth into that one.
We get straight back to where The Mighty Storm finished, Tru and Jake got away from the crazy life they live in LA and are enjoying quality time together.
Not for one second do I think that this road they are travelling is going to be smooth, Jake needs to strop ad think first before acting.
He really took care of Tru whilst she was sick, he melted my heart even more.
She is so perceptive with Jake, knows what he is feeling and knows when to push him, she has a heart of gold.
understood how she felt when they bot back to his bachelor pad, I love how they know each other so well. Glad they sorted out those issues.
Uh Oh! WOW what a corker, felt so so sorry for Tru, armed with the knowledge that he was not sure about, and because they both knew how each other felt he’d picked up on something. With what he found out, WHOA! I was not expecting him to be such a s***! and I just loved her ballsy attitude, even if she was so devastatingly heart broken, even knowing that he might react that way.
I’m so glad he finally got his head out of the clouds and came to his senses and I hoped that it was not too late, thank goodness it wasn’t. Then we get the airport scene, lovely just lovely, even though she was adamant she was on her way back home to her parents.
They are both so very loving towards each other, and can hurt each other fiercely, but woe betide anyone else hurting them, they are a solid force to be reckoned with.
He came on leaps and bounds, really stepping up to the mark when he needed to, you just knew they really were going to make it.
Then BAM! right out of the left field did you go and do that……….. the drunk driver!
so painful to be part off. I was with Jake the whole time (I have been through exactly the same thing with my husband) He handled everything so well, even when he thought he was going to screw everything up.. He was everything and more, I loved how he took to JJ.
Whilst Tru was angry that she had missed out so much with JJ, it all felt so right.
Really happy for Simone and Denny, and Tru gets her bestie back with her.
Happy for Stuart,Josh sounds incredibly hot! and he is such a compassionate man, especially when Tru was poorly.
Oh that Jake, surprise King ever!!!! the Lumb Falls Wedding – oh my, such a lovely thing to do, sneaky but oh so lovely.
The epilogue was lovely, cant wait to see how they are getting on in Taming the Storm, Tom and Lyla’s story.
