Mad I spend $14.99 on this book. I wanted to enjoy the continuing story, but the first 75% of the book is re-hash of the first book. Then it finally starts to get interesting, and end abruptly again. Probably for book 3 to scam more readers $. IF you want to read it, borrow from the library or another free way.

While I’m a huge fan of Elin H’s writing, her other books often overlap in characters but are complete in themselves. While I knew this was a trilogy when I borrowed the first from the library and loved it I got to the end and discovered it was a ‘buy the next book to find out what happened kind’ of ending. No hint of a stand alone here. For a smaller amount I could pre-order this one, hoping it would wrap enough up to satisfy. Nope. Elin, shame….shame. We would keep getting your books without twisting our arms. As someone else said, a lot of this is a replay of the first and the romantic relationships aren’t as rewarding this time around. Who would consider getting serious with a moron like Mick all over again, anyway?

This trilogy is very messy. I do not like reading a book and have it end abruptly like this. It feels cheap and like I am being led on. I think this could easily have been one book but it was stretched into three, with a lot of rehashing, to make more money. Disappointing.

Really? I am getting sick of these characters. The first book was interesting although Elin’s books are getting formulaic, but it was a pleasant read. But to think the whole family would find a reason to go back to St. John after never knowing Russ had a house there is ridiculous. I thought Irene hated the Caribbean and what woman who finds out her husband had a villa he shared with his mistress moves in there like it’s no big deal. And NO ONE thought the FBI might find it was bought with illegal funds so let’s all just uproot our lives and move there! A poor excuse to make a trilogy. Redundant, unsympathetic characters, don’t get me started on Ayers/Baker/Mick

I really enjoyed the first book, and though this one was fast paced, it’s pretty much a rehashing of the first book. I will read the last book, but I think the story could have been told in a Duology.
