being from jamaica I haven\’t experienced what it\’s like living in rural jamaica and this kinda of gave me a journey I was able to listen in one day and I love how it was written and brought across by the narrator.

I loved it!!!!!! There was a point in the book where I wanted to get up and scream “WHAT!!!!” Then run around like a crazy person! It was really an easy, yet great read!! Despite the author being from Jamaica, I didn’t get a ‘Jamaican’ vibe, thus story and setting were universal, could have been anywhere. I loved that about the story as well.

I love tales of childhood adventure with life lessons where you can visualize, taste and smell the story. When Life Gives You Mangos gave me all of these and a surprise. Left me praying for Clara to have a wonderful journey into womanhood. I loved it. (adult reader)
