I love Beth Kemptons approach in this beautiful book, Calm Christmas. She provides research, stories, tips and thoughtful questions to help you discover what matters most to you in this season, which often feels stressful and overwhelming.

Calm Christmas transports you to a cozy place next to a twinkling tree and crackling fire with a cup of tea, and encourages you to explore how this time of year could be most thoughtful, meaningful…and even rejuvenating. I have a better understanding of what brings me joy and what depletes me, as well as a newfound appreciation that mine are different from what my partner values. I will read this book every Christmas, and Im already certain something new will speak to me each time.

Not only did I personally love this book, but it would make for a truly lovely gift as well. (On a side note, Kemptons book Wabi Sabi was my most gifted book of 2019!)

Just finished reading the book Calm Christmas and a Happy New Year. This beautiful little book gives a new perspective on Christmas and New Year. It helps to find a more sustainable way to celebrate these classic holidays. It’s filled with personal stories, self-exploration exercises and advice on how to enjoy Christmas without overspending, overindulging and overstressing. As we know, winter is the time for slowing down and self-reflection and Beth Kempton’s thoughtful advice helps us to find ways to spend Christmas without being exhausted and deep in debt. This book leaves you with a warm feeling in your heart.

This is such a lovely, beautiful written book. It encourages us to shift our focus from the frantic hustle and bustle to a more quiet and peaceful holiday season. If you are looking for a book to bring you back to the magic and wonder that you felt as a child, this book is for you. Carve out a little time for yourself this season & savor the beautiful and inspiring words that she has shared.

Always heartwarming to read Beth Kemptons works. I can hear her calm soothing English accented voice as I read her stories and advice in Calm Christmas. A welcome mini self care retreat of being in the midst of the worlds non stop barrage of doing this time of year. Looking forward to sitting with her after Christmas and envisioning my wonder-filled new year. A great gift as is her beautiful book Wabi-Sabi for yourself and others!

Ideas for Christmas. Came in very good condition. Will read it every Christmas season. Its a delightful read.
