Missy Connors has just won the election to become Sheriff in the county. On her first day a vehicle is found in the pond right outside of town. The body within it is that of Ariel, a girl in her graduation class who had disappeared ten years ago.
It is the week of their high school reunion and all the former classmates still live in the area. It is Lizzie’s job to find out who murdered the deceased.
The reunion is on Sterling Mountain and when people start dying it starts a string of events that keep turning the page to find the killer. It is interesting to read the thoughts of the dead girl as the book progresses. Another good story by a great author B.J. Daniels. Well recomended

After reading this excellent B J Daniels’s Just His Luck, I decided to stick to my day job! Sorting through the potential murderers left me with a headache! I won’t embarrass myself by saying how many times I “just knew” who the killer was. Daniels does an amazing job of interweaving a touching, heart felt love story with a humdinger of a crime to solve! Her mind must have worked overtime to come up with an opening that has a despised classmate helpless and tied to her steering wheel in a car headed into a pond. I like the touch of having this hapless victim, now dead, share her thoughts from time to time. The decedent, one Ariel Matheson, has used coercion, lies, blackmail and every other trick to have her way with her classmates. Her actions cost several people their lives. At the end she agrees that she is despicable. I will leave the exciting finish for you to sort out. I loved this book!

I really liked the storyline & characters. However, I really disliked the narrator for the female voice!! It made it difficult to listen so I tried to read it instead.
The whole series is like that – I actually have to make myself listen. However, the storyline & characters are good.

Again, the best of the best to read.. Spellbinding as always, keeps you reading and reading to see what happens. Just love her stories and I want more!

Not quite like the previous 2 in this little series, this was a good mystery and a little romance too. Had me wondering thru the whole story what and who did it.. Good read!
