I started and finished this book within a few hours. I simply could not put it down!!! I have been intrigued by Harper and Christopher since The Knight and after reading Trust Fund I was in desperate need of more.

The heart is fickle. It doesnt listen to reason. But I dont have to obey my heart when I know its wrong.

Harper is still wild and free. I loved her personality and attitude. Christopher is still closed off, strangely possessive and a mystery to me. Harper storms into the room demanding to see Christopher when she crashes into Sutton. He is dominated, protective and a blunt southern gentleman that will charm your pants off.

Where Sutton had been raw sensuality and playfulness, Christopher is pure determination.

Harper is trying to do her best with the cards she has been dealt, unfortunately or fortunately, she ends up in a complicated situation and finds herself torn between two men. Both men bring something different and tempting to the table but I felt it was only competition for one of them. However, dont let my opinion sway you because both are delicious.

How will this duet end? Who will it be? I cant wait! I need to know now!!!!!

Of course its love. Only love could hurt this much.

Despite the promised plot line of this book, it stops mid-way, and you have to buy the next book in the series to get more of the story. Furthermore, it almost seems as if this was ghost written, since it does not live up to the standards I’ve come to expect from this author. This book is a rip-off, the characters are shallow and undeveloped, and I would save your money.

Book one is about Harper ( spoiled rich child) from a broken dysfunction family , going to meet her father’s current wife for this year. This wife has a older son who saves Harper from drowning and becomes her crush. Book two has Christopher over seeing Harper’s inheritance as directed by her father’s will. His business partner Sutton meets and falls for Harper, he is everything Chris is not he is direct, loving and extremely protective of Harper. Christopher is two men the one before her father died and now the cold man holding her trust from her. Harper is a virgin she is about to have sex with Sutton , when Christopher walks in. So while Sutton is with her , Chris decides he cares for her and take her virginity while Sutton watches. Then Chris walks away like it’s a day at the office. I HATE the way she is easily played, another stupid female in a book about powerful men. I think Sutton and Christopher have had a three-some before, it’s a game about competition. Sutton is the real man in this story but it’s to sick to read to care who gets who. So the book continues, sadly you can’t make up for tasteless writing about weak woman buy writing another book. Please don’t waste you money.

I have yet to read a Skye Warren book that wasnt just amazing! To understand this book you need to read Trust Fund first. It pulls in some players from other books but you can get by without reading those, (go back to them though you will love them) anyway, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat, not wanting to put it down. Twists and turns galore to keep the pages turning……It is a love triangle that is just an emotional roller coaster. You will be going back and forth, back and forth………I can not wait for the next one!!!!!! This is a must read!

Oh, thank goodness. I’ve never been more THRILLED about a cliffhanger ending maybe EVER. Why? Because this entire book had me wavering back and forth between two men, torn between who to root for for Harper. And just when I’d think it was the end, just when I think she finally chose, the bottom would drop out and I’d be pulled in another direction yet again. I just wasn’t ready for Harper to choose yet, I don’t think SHE could’ve been ready, and so when the book ended, I may have fist bumped the air because YES!!!! There just HAS TO BE MORE TO THIS STORY!!!!

Yes, this is a love triangle. It’s a deliciously sexy, super steamy, emotionally complicated love triangle. And you know what? I freaking love a good love triangle. I love the twisted tug of war, I love the tangle of emotions, I love the war between someone unforgettable from the past and someone with such potential for the future. I just love a story where our girl is torn between two different men, where the story can truly go in two different directions and I have no idea in this moment how it’ll end.

This is another Skye Warren romance set in the fictional town of Tanglewood, where our heroine finds herself held captive financially to a powerful man who toys with her emotions and her heart and her body while holding the power of money over her head. That is definitely a common thread that runs through every book in this series of interconnected stories but Harper’s storyline is fresh and all her own. Yes, it’s a love triangle. Yes, it’s somewhat of a stepbrother romance. Yes, it’s steamy and sexy and emotional and complicated and yes, it’s another page turner from this author. I really enjoyed this fast paced book, I’m loving Harper and Christopher and Sutton’s story and I can not wait to see what happens next!
