Gripping story, but too many evil characters/ darkness and way too much taking the Lord\’s Name in Vain.

I have enjoyed Sandra Brown novels. Just not this one. At one point my husband recited the lines as the narrator spoke them it was that predictable. The overall idea was good but this story could have happened in a three to four hour book.

Possible spoilers: I really didn’t like this book. I’m not sure if it was the story or who it was being narrated by or both. I have always enjoyed Sandra Brown books in the past and am shocked by my extreme dislike of this book. The story wasn’t believable, the main character were blah and I didn’t care what happened to any of them.

The story was ok but the narration ruined it for me. The woman’s voice he used was so annoying that the love story became an odd joke. Distracting rather than interesting. Disappointed. Would not recommend.
