Fire Night

What a damn ride. I swear every time I read a Devils Night book I never know what to expect. The thrill of it is so addicting and keeps me coming back over and over again. I am so glad we got to visit this crew again. Nightfall kept me unsatisfied. I needed and will always want more of this world. That epilogue though???? That boy is battling some inner demons and I just want to hold him and destroy them all. Will we ever know whats going on with him?? Who knows but I sure hope so. I loved seeing everyone perspectives. I do think we need more with the womens perspective but that just me being greedy and wanting more . Seeing these guys that we have all come to know interacting with their own and each others children was so awesome to see. I hope we get more in the future. Until then Ill just sit here and miss them all dearly. If you have read the Devils Night series and crave more like an addict just like me definitely go and grab this.

I loved this book. I was hesitant to read it because I love Devils night and I just was a bit nervous to see what would become of this family even though it all is before Nightfalls epilogue. I liked the mini story being told in everyone point of view. Taking turns. I do wish something depressing or Sad involving Damon because that’s like a sweet addiction I would loved to have fed but than OMG Mads. WOW. JUST WOW. How. Sweet little children and then there is Mads acting like he’s An old Wiseman/assassin lol!! I dont mind the chemistry. I need more. I love this world and I love Penelopes words and stories. Shes amazing! These characters are so amazing and different and all intertwined so much its crazy. Quick jump scare read. Lol I love Damons talk he has with Mads at the end too. And the key! “That kids smart!” Lol

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS!!! Being back in this world is always fun and filled with all kinds of surprises! Also…ALLL THE FEELS with this one! You get all 4 guys POV’s in this novella and although I adore all the women of Devil’s Night; having these guys’ POV is INCREDIBLE and always my favorite!
This entire novella was EVERYTHING I needed from this world.
I love everything about this entire world and I will NEVER EVER get tired of the Devil’s Night world!
If you haven’t read this series yet I highly recommend it!

Fire Night picks up 10 months before the Epilogue in Nightfall but don’t worry if you’ve already read Nightfall’s Epilogue, it doesn’t spoil anything for this book. You DO need to read the other Devil’s Night books before reading Fire Night if you want to have an understanding of who everyone is.
Fire Night touches on more of the traditions the children of the Devil’s Night crew get to experience being part of this Thunder Bay crew!

Michael & Rika might be my favorite Devil’s Night couple but this is one of the very few series that I’ve read where I really love and adore every single character in this group!

Way too short and oh so good.

This novella gives us a glimpse into each couple through the minds of Michael, Kai, Damon, and Will. While we become reacquainted with the connection they have with their women, we also get to enjoy more character building of the second generation.

We get more details on who the royal children of Thunder Bay are and how they coexist with one another. The main focus is on Octavia (Damon & Winters daughter) and Madden (Kai & Banks son). For some reason Im disappointed theyre cousins, but they give me Damon/Banks vibes for sure.

Theres so much depth in such a short story, which gives me hope we will have a second generation series!! Theres too much of a foundation and so many questions posed, between the last epilogue, last novella, and this one, that I wont be able to stay sane without their stories told!

This was an extended epilogue; satisfying (or, in my case, feeding) the need for MORE from our beloved Horsemen. But this paved the way for something else…..

Step aside, Horsemen and your badass wives. Your children have entered the chat! Lol! And Id like to say: Well, hello, Mads! I was introduced to Madden in the epilogue of Nightfall and I fell in love with his mysterious persona. I fell in love even more now after what he did toward the end! Is it weird to already have a book crush on a fictional character as a child??

It was great catching up with the gang. Of course, its never enough Horseman for me, but Im satisfied….for now.

I cant wait to see what Pen does with Madden!!!….and with Octavia…..and most definitely with Athos (we saw a potential story in Nightfall)!
