Upstaged

The Gus LeGarde series by Aaron Paul Lazar has taken over the last few days of my life. I have become completely immersed in the lives of this family. They have been introduced to me by this author and his talent for storytelling with descriptive paragraphs that read like poetry. There is so much pure goodness in Mr Lazar\’s books, from the innocent purity of grandchildren and pets, the beauty of nature, the bounty of a glorious garden, to love that is enduring and eternal; all the while weaving strands of mystery throughout the pages with suspense and surprises around every corner. I find myself craving more…only one left unread in the series. I will try to savor it slowly but to no avail. I devour these books like melting chocolate.

This, the second of the Gus LeGarde books, shows us more of his personality as he learns of his new love\’s family secret. We also see him as a community-minded musician, involved in a local drama production. Lazar continues to enchant us with family living set in upstate New York. I like how the characters are developing and changing through the series. These books are light reading, but once you fall in love with Gus and Camille, you will want to keep reading.

This is the second book in a series that has caught my attention. I like the main characters and look forward to learning about them.

I really enjoyed the latest saga of Professor LeGarde and his fiance. The school play sounded so cute and the student personalities were so accurately describes. It made me think I was there. Reading this was time well spent.

I dearly love his books and plan to read everything he writes. the story takes you into the picture and the fields, house and people can be seen so you feel they are old friends. Just really good stories with no smut or trashy situations.
