All Systems Red
You will see this novel tackling some very valid questions about the ethics associated with the sentient robotic. The main character of this novel is a lethal security droid that has resisted its restrictive programming. The droid is now in the balance between a meditative self-discovery and an indolent character to kill the entire mankind. In a future dominated by the corporate, the planetary missions have to be first approved and then eventually supplied by the Company.
The Exploratory teams are supported by the security androids facilitated by the Company. This was for the sake of their safety. But, in a place where the contracts are always given to the lowest bidders, safety is not much of top concern at all. However, on a distant planet, a diverse group of scientists is conducting some high profile surface tests. They were shadowed by the droid provided by the Company. This security unit has hacked into its module and refers to itself as the ‘Murderbot”.
You will love this book for some exciting adventures related to the cyborg security unit and then the story building up with the Murderbot. The book is recommended and it is definitely worth your time.
