Conflicted Home

This book started off slow and pretty much stayed that way through out the book. I have been looking forward to the continuation of this series, but I was disappointed in the lack of action. I feel like this one was filled with a bunch of unnecessary fluff. Hopefully the next one actually reaches a climax and closes out Morgan’s saga.

I was very excited to see this book released, but as I kept reading, I kept on waiting for something to happen for the most part. This is the first book in the series I have been a little disappointed in. Glad that the group is doing well for the most part. I am hoping book 10 brings back the action.

Book number nine of a ten book apocalyptic action series. I read the well printed and bound POD (print on demand) trade paperback. I will order the tenth book in the series soon. I do not know if there will be any more books in the series.

It has been almost a year since the EMP went off over the USA. There has been a military coup in the USA due to a lack of leadership. Very few people know and no one cares since the day to day maintenance of life without food, transportation, clean water, and electricity is so hard to deal with.

The USA military nuked the Chinese invasion fleet off the western coast of the USA. In response to that, the Chinese nuked various military bases around the USA, including MacDill AFB in Florida. Just a couple of hundred miles from our protagonists.

Russian and Cuban soldiers are prowling around Florida and the east coast causing mischief and such. Not knocking over the trashcans mischief but mortaring small villages mischief. Softening up for a possible invasion.

England, Europe, Australia, and India are sending food and necessities to the USA but there is no means of distribution. People are having to travel to the military bases in order to get food and fuel. Travel meaning foot and bicycle in most cases.

Stay out of the FEMA camps !

So yet again a great read. Some of my pages were missing in the kindle book so I missed out on a little. Weird but whatever. Got some bad guys. Heartbreak and breath taking. Love the characters.
One question I have is why didn’t any go to church. No talk of church in rural area you know there are many. Seems odd that this group of great people wouldn’t have at least one of two going to a rural church or church gathering. I bring this up….cuz Morgan got fancied up for first time in a long time.
Waiting for book ten. Hurry up!!!!

I’ve stuck it out, reading each of these books and, except for this and subsequent books, I’ve read them three times so far. For those new to the series, I HIGHLY recommend them to you.
As for the enigmatic author, GOOD SHOW, Sir! I look forward to seeing many more of these books for as long as you plan to write them!!
