Dark Hunger

i was extremely disappointed to get this book as it is in comic book version. I am an avid reader of Feehan’s books and I never (and I mean never) would have purchased this book if I had known that it was in comic book form. I will skip over reading this one in the series (I have ordered nearly all 30 of them and hope the gap in following the characters won’t matter much. BEWARE IF YOU ARE READING THIS SERIES AND DON’T WANT A COMIC BOOK VERSION OF DARK HUNGER, DON’T GET THIS!!!!

In this book we find not only 5 lost Carpathian males but some cat women too.

Juliette, who is a cat woman & her sister who also has some cat in her were on a mission in their jungle to save the almost extinct animals that were in a bldg. for experimentation. Juliette, however found something more than an animal to set free; she found a Carpathian male & set him free in more ways than 1.

Riordan had been captured & experimented on for quite some time & also had some kind of poison in his system. He was quite surprised when Juliette found him & set him free especially since she was also his lifemate.

This is the beginning of their story & now its up to you to read it to find out what happens to not only Juliette & Riordan but also to Juliettes family.

I usually love Christine Feehan’s Dark series books, and this book started off so well. I thought the introduction of another species was excellent. But in the end, I was disappointed by this one for two main reasons:
1. The threat of the master vampire just evaporated. Ms. Graham did mention that he would go to ground for a few days, but he should have returned to ‘finish’ his plan. Certainly in the other books the vampires were more single-minded, so this seemed unlikely that he just conveniently disappeared.
2. My annoyance with this book mostly came from the overly abrupt ending. It was more about the sex between the two main characters, rather than focusing on the merging of two species – how did the two main characters deal with resolving the differences between their two families; how did Juliette deal with her new nutritional requirements, sleeping patterns, sleeping in the earth, etc. Instead the climactic event was way too early and everything was resolved with a sex scene.

Unsatisfactory. But… I love the series, so I’ll assume that this was an aberration and move on to the next in the series.

I loved Riordan and Juliette’s story Dark Hunger. When I first read this graphic book/ Manga back in 2007: which is debatable to some reviewers. I had mixed feelings becasue I didn’t know what to expect.

However, I loved the Carpathians and Riordan De La Cruz’s character is right on the mark. Who doesn’t love a Da Le Cruz!! Juliette made the perfect LifeMate. She is intelligent, beautiful, strong, brave and compassionate. Riordan is a De La Cruz what more is there to say, Tall, Dark, handsome and sexy. Riordan like all Carpathian males have tons of paranormal abilities. Fans of the Dark series will know exactly what I mean. It didn’t bother me that it was graphic novel or Manga what every you choice to call it. It was a very good fast paced Adrenalin rush. The romance between Riordan and Juliette was very sensuous and romantic. Juliette you lucky girl snagged yourself a Da Le Cruz!!

A beautiful jaguar shifter name Juliette,, her younger sister and also her cousin spent their time in the jungle trying to save other shifter women from bad jaguar men. Juliette and sister found a laboratory in the jungle and was going to save the animals. While in their Juliette finds a man and she goes to save him. Riordan is a Carparathian prisoner, he realized that she is his mate. They run and the Vampire tries to find them. Her younger sister gets kidnapped and Juliette almost dies trying to save her. Giordano has to change her
